About Heidi
As a trauma-informed somatic coach I guide people towards experiencing their situations and lives in a new way. I aim to help bring patterns and beliefs into consciousness to discover what might be holding people back and empower them to start living aligned with their values, vision and purpose.

My Story
My path to wellness began over 30 years ago, when I found myself caught in crippling anxiety, overthinking, and overwhelm. In trying to be who I thought I was supposed to be, I had abandoned who I truly was, and my body was letting me know I was stuck.

Yoga and meditation became lifelines, practices that kept me afloat and slowly taught me to be present. During this time I discovered somatic coaching - a way to truly meet my body, my nervous system, and myself.

Over the last decade I’ve supported young people outdoors to find safety, trust, confidence, and self-belief. Again and again, I’ve seen how healing happens when we are given space to come home to ourselves. I bring this same ethos to somatic coaching - nurturing reconnection with our 'whole intelligence': body, mind, and soul.

My Approach
I believe that change and healing happen in relationship with ourselves, with others, and with the living world around us. My work is grounded in the understanding that we are not isolated individuals to be “fixed” or “improved,” but relational beings shaped by our histories, environments, and the quality of presence we experience with another. We each have an innate capacity for health and wholeness, and our bodies know the way.

This approach has transformed my own life and relationships, and continues to shape how I meet others in the somatic coaching space and beyond. Witnessing how the body’s wisdom brings people home to themselves is a daily privilege. Holding this sacred space is both my deepest passion and greatest honour.

My work is rooted in embodied practices, nervous system awareness, and informed by the ICF Code of Ethics.

I’m especially interested in the natural world - how our connection to it must be part of the picture, and this is why I offer an outdoor element to people for all or part of their work with me if they feel drawn to it.

Whether we’re working one-to-one, or in a small group, online, in person, or out in Nature, my intention is to partner with you every step of the way, and together we work in service to the potential which is seeking to emerge in your life.

If you are feeling like it might be a ‘Yes!’ to this let’s have a free 30 minute Connection Call and get curious about how we might work together.
